Abstract
This issue of e-Letras com Vida has a thematic dossier on the fascinating study (especially in pandemic times) of health and assistance in Portugal, from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, coordinated by the historians Joana Balsa de Pinho and Paulo Drummond Braga. The other sections (Multi-theme Articles, Interview, Critical Reading and Project) make this a diverse issue, combining the past and the present with some future prospective, living up to the redefinition of the subtitle of this journal: Journal of Global Studies – Humanities, Sciences and Art.
