In this tenth issue, the Thematic Dossier is dedicated to a personality whose representation has been guided by the tensions between the dark and the light myth, the shadows and the lights of historiography: Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, the Marquis of Pombal. In addition to the works that make up this dossier around Pombaline studies, we should highlight the selection of multi-thematic articles that focus on education, the arts and tourism. The interview with Frei Betto leads us to a reflection on the role of the Church in contemporary society and the future of liberation theology and four critical readings invite us to (re)visit various authors and current themes. Global History of Utopias" is the title of the project being presented, which has an interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary scope.
