Abstract

An international and collaborative initiative, the project Portugueses de Papel brings together more than a hundred researchers from Portuguese, Brazilian, North American and European universities, who have presented the results of their research both in the entries written for the dictionary and in communications given in seminars and conferences around the globe. This dossier gathers eight articles that make known some results of the research produced within the scope of the Portugueses de Papel project, also allowing the perception of what underlies it: the collection and reading of a large number of texts of Brazilian fiction prose, the discovery of those with Portuguese characters, the analysis of these characters and their relevance in the plot of each of the analyzed works.
